| FORESKIN VARIATIONS |
There is very little authoritative documentation on the variations in the male foreskin. Medical books generally treat only with circumcision of the infant, or or dealing with problem foreskins later on, but rarely delve into the normal forekskin and its variations. Some of the web sites that provide arguments against circumcision tend to portray a narrow set of foreskins in their picture galleries.
The foreskin not only varies greatly from individual to individual, but it also varies greatly in each individual. First, it varies according to the state of erection, and secondly, it varies as the individual grows up and ages.
During puberty, on some, but not all males, the penis outgrows the foreskin to some extent, making the foreskin relatively shorter. But on other males, the foreskin remains as long. For some individuals, perhaps helped by keeping their foreskin retracted as much as possible, the penis completely outgrows the foreskin during puberty and they become naturally circumcised.

These foreskins are definitely in the very long category. Consider that the penis in the first picture is probably not even in the fully flaccid state. |

This foreskin is probably as close to average as one could subjectly define what an average foreskin is. It covers fully the head with a reasonable amount of overhang which doesn't quite close the opening. But the skin is ample enough to continue to cover the head even when the penis is not at its smallest size. |

Considering that this penis is perhaps close to is most flaccid state, its forekskin is a bit shorter than average since in a more "relaxed" state, the foreskin would proably leave the tip of the glans exposed. |

This foreskin is definitely in the "short" category and can be confused easily with a partially circumcised penis. |

A full and thick foreskin. Note that the ventral side is longer than the dorsal side. This is common, usually in males with long foreskin with overhang. |

Contrary to popular belief, not all foreskins automatically retract during erection. So if your foreskin continues to cover the head such as on this picture, you are not alone. Some may see this as an advantage, and some may see this as a sign that the penis is not yet in its adult configuration. |
